The app of the University Library of Mannheim provides selected mobile services. It includes the following functions: browsing on the mobile website, searching the online catalog Primo, retrieving news from the UB and displays free places with the help of the known traffic light system.
The setup module provides ways to personalize the app.
Data cache
The activation of the cache function creates a database for the local storage of the last downloaded data of the "News" and "Free seats" functions. The stored data is displayed as soon as Internet access is not available. Deactivating the data cache deletes the created database. By default, the cache function is disabled, i. there is no cache and all data must be retrieved online.
Displayed news entries
Determine how many posts from the news weblog are displayed under "News":
5 (default setting), 10 and 15
Start UB app with
Choose your personal startup function of the UB app:
Start menu (default setting), Website, Primo, News and Vacancies
An integrated "help" function complements the apps offer.
